The Eye Care Institute and Louisville Bats Baseball are pleased to announce The Eye Care Institute isnamed as the official eye care provider for Louisville Bats Baseball.

The Eye Care Institute, located about 1 mile from Louisville Slugger Field, home of Bats Baseball, has a long history of providing eye care for athletes, especially through its relationship as official eye care provider of University of Louisville Cardinal athletics.

Contract Terms

  1. The Eye Care Institute receives the right to use “official eye care provider” terminology in conjunction with the Louisville Bats Baseball.
  2. The Eye Care Institute receives the right to use the trademarked Louisville Bats Baseball athletic logos in its promotional material.
  3. The Eye Care Institute is the sole eye care provider able to use the “official” designation.
  4. The Eye Care Institute is the sponsor of one of the Bats three regularly scheduled weekend entertainers at Slugger Field.
  5. The Eye Care Institute is the sponsor of each game’s umpires.
  6. The Eye Care Institute is the sole eye care provider for advertising and promotions controlled by Louisville Bats Baseball
  7. The contract extends through 2009, with 2 one-year options to extend available.
  8. Financial terms are not disclosed.

Facts about The Eye Care Institute
Founded in 1981, The Eye Care Institute has over 100,000 active medical charts and provided over 37,000 patient visits last year.  Over 3,000 LASIK laser vision correction procedures have been performed at The Eye Care Institute.  Special areas of interest for the practice include LASIK, cataract surgery, glaucoma care, diabetic eye care, macular degeneration care, routine eye exams, contact lenses, ReSTOR© distance and near vision for almost everyone and Botox© Cosmetic.  The practice employs 5 doctors plus 42 staff members.  Full time offices are at 1536 Story Avenue in Butchertown and at Audubon Hospital.  Both full time Louisville offices feature designer optical shops.  Part-time care is provided in Kentucky at Glasgow and Bowling Green and in Indiana at Madison at Scottsburg.
